Ash Class

2024-25

Welcome to Ash Class! 

My name is Mrs Mitchell, and I am Ash Class teacher. In Reception, we also have Mrs Baines, Mrs Mullender, Mrs Hastings and Miss Ibbotson who work with us. We are looking forward to our new Reception children joining us in September. Our first topic in September will be 'All About Me'.

Please can our new families ensure they are checking Class Dojo regularly and sharing our transition videos with your child. 

Our PE days this year are Tuesday and Thursday. Please come in full PE kit on these days. *In Reception PE days will commence from Week 2, week beginning Monday 9th September 24.

Our topic for Summer 1 is People Who Help Us. The children will be learning all about the important roles people play in our community, such as doctors, firefighters, police officers, dentists and more. We’re hoping to arrange visits from some of these local people to come and talk to the children about what they do. It will be a fantastic opportunity for the children to ask questions and gain a real-life insight into these roles.

During Summer 2, our topic will be Transport.  Here we will be exploring different modes of transport and learning about the history and development of travel over the years.

Our PE days for spring are a Tuesday and Thursday. Our school library day is a Wednesday.
