Governors
Welcome from the Governing Body
The Governing Body at Royles Brook Primary School plays a vital role in ensuring our school continues to provide high‑quality education for all pupils. As a community primary school, our governors work in partnership with the Headteacher and staff to support, challenge and strengthen the leadership of the school.
Our governors:
- Set the strategic direction of the school, ensuring our vision and values - Achieve, Belong, Thrive - are reflected in everyday practice.
- Hold leaders to account for educational performance, safeguarding, and the wellbeing of pupils and staff.
- Oversee the school’s finances, ensuring that resources are used effectively and responsibly to benefit all children.
- Represent the community, bringing a range of skills, perspectives and professional experience to guide school improvement.
- Support and monitor school priorities, visiting regularly to understand the curriculum, the learning environment and the experiences of our pupils.
Governors act as critical friends to the school: encouraging ambition, promoting high standards and ensuring the school remains inclusive, nurturing and forward‑looking.
We are proud to serve the Royles Brook community and to contribute to a school where every child is empowered to Achieve, Belong and Thrive.
